Savills Ann Duncan Honored by Tampa Bay Business Journal

TAMPA, Fla. (August 14, 2019) – Savills today announced that the Tampa Bay Business Journal has recognized Ann Duncan as an honoree of the 2019 BusinessWoman of the Year Awards program. Duncan was named the recipient of the Angie Joseph Excellence in Mentorship Award, which acknowledges a woman who has helped mentor and guide other individuals in their professional careers.

“For over 30 years, Ann has been committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders and inspired them to seek senior leadership positions in commercial real estate and in their communities. She has successfully recruited countless women to the industry and is a firm believer that a successful business leader is an effective and committed mentor,” said Savills Tampa Market Leader Mike Griffin, a mentee of Duncan’s.

Duncan is an executive vice president at Savills and the head of the firm’s Occupier Services team. Her more than 30-year career in commercial real estate spans tenant representation, commercial brokerage, portfolio optimization, strategic consulting, development and program management. Since her start in 1988, Duncan has completed transactions totaling more than 7 million square feet, provided consulting services on portfolios totaling more than 550 million square feet and led multidisciplinary teams in multi-market engagements domestically and internationally.

Duncan joined Savills after its acquisition of Vertical Integration, a Florida-based firm she founded. Under her leadership, Vertical Integration was recognized as one of the 100 fastest-growing businesses and among the top 50 women-led for-profit companies in Florida. She has served on numerous boards and committees over the years with significant leadership experience at the State University System of Florida, Florida Government Efficiency Task Force, University of South Florida St. Petersburg, Tampa Bay Chapter of CoreNet, Circle of Heroes Veteran’s Memorial and Savills Board of Directors. Duncan also serves on the Circle of Heroes Veteran’s Memorial Advisory Board and as the 2019 Medal of Honor Anniversary Host Committee and Gala Chairman.

The BusinessWoman of the Year Awards honors Tampa Bay's most powerful and influential businesswomen. Recipients are selected from a variety of industries and are professionals who have made a difference in their communities. Criteria included business success, community involvement, leadership ability and influence on the region.

Honorees will be recognized at an awards gala on September 13 at the Tampa Marriott Water Street and will be profiled in a special section of the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
